Charles F. Davidson, 78

Exeter, NH — Charles F. Davidson, 78, a resident of Exeter, N.H., passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, after a lengthy illness.

He was the son of William A. and Laura (Murphy) Davidson of Malden, Mass., and was born on June 8, 1934, in Malden.

Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He resided in Malden until 1998, when he moved to Plaistow. Last year, he moved to Exeter and was living with his daughter and her family.

Charlie was an active member of the Rockingham Church in Plaistow and was involved in the Men’s Ministry, attending several retreats, and in the construction of the new church. He also enjoyed spending time with family, building puzzles, and working in the garden.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia (Tobler) Davidson; his four children, Charles F. Davidson, Jr., and his fiancée, Anne O’Connor, of Ipswich, Mass., Paul H. Davidson of Danvers, Mass., John W. Davidson and his wife, Lisa, of West Peabody, Mass., and Suzanne L. Richer and her husband, Ronald, of Exeter, N.H. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Charles, III, Jennifer, Tara, Christina, Rachael, Matthew, and Thomas Davidson, and Ronald and Sophia Richer. He was the brother of Mildred Allen and Louise Murphy of Arizona, and A. Joseph Davidson of Claremont, and Edward G. Davidson of Raymond. He was predeceased by his brothers, William A., Robert, George L., John A., and Richard T. Davidson.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow Village, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 12 p.m., at The Rockingham Church, 90 Newton Road, Plaistow, NH 03865.

    Amherst, MA — Marina Kachulis - beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Monday, April 7, at her home in Amherst, Mass. Born in New York City and orphaned at six with her two younger siblings at the height of The Depression, she was raised by various relatives until the age of 17, when she brought the family together and helped her father raise the two younger children. After graduating as the Valedictorian from Girls High School in Brooklyn, she went to work to help support the family. Marina married the love of her life, Bill Kachulis, in 1949. They recently celebrated their 65th anniversary. She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Jimmy and Nick; and grandchildren, Chris, Demetri, Maria Terese and Anye; and daughters-in-law, Anne Moriarty and Martha Zorn.

    North Andover, MA — Anthony J. Monteiro, 55, of North Andover, MA, died March 26, 2014, at Mass General Hospital. Tony grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ, the son of the late Anthony J. and Elizabeth R. (DiIenno) Monteiro. He was a 1976 graduate of Cherry Hill High School East, where his passion for running began on the track and x-country teams. Tony became a ham radio operator in 1973 seeding another lifelong passion. He graduated with high honors from Drexel University, Philadelphia, in 1980, and was hired by AT&T Bell Labs. Tony graduated in 1981 with his Masters in Computer Science/Computer Engineering from Stanford University. He was promoted to engineering manager in 1985. In 1992 he became a management consultant in the information industry and in 1994 he re-entered the telecommunications environment, including working for several start-ups. Tony retired from Cisco Systems in 2002 and devoted his time to his family and his love of ham radio, antennas and satellites.

Lillian was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 7, 1930, daughter of Carroll and Lillian Zachrisson. She graduated from Boston Girls’ Latin School in 1947 and from Wellesley College, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1951. Beginning post-graduate work at Union Theological Seminary that fall and doing field work at the East Harlem Protestant Parish, she met Frederic A. Pease, Jr., whom she married on June 20, 1953.

Beloved grandfather of Todd Spencer and his wife, Amy, of Portsmouth, NH, Amy Spencer Delemus of Dover, NH, Lauren (Spencer) Corbett and her husband, Patrick, of Billerica, MA, Evan Spencer and his wife, Courtney, of Billerica, MA, Jeffrey Prior of Boston, MA, Steven Prior of New York City, and Rachel Spencer and Emily Spencer of Merrimack, NH.
