Lawrence, MA — Richard E. Jodoin, 79, of Lawrence, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his home.
The son of the late Ephraim and Clara (Madden) Jodoin, Richard was born in Lowell, Mass., on August 29, 1933. He was educated in Lowell schools. For many years, he was employed as a custodian for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Massachusetts Air National Guard Armories, from where he retired. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence. He was a member and very active with the Corpus Christi Parish Choir and the Holy Name Society at Corpus Christi. He also helped out in the CCD Program at the parish. He resided in Lawrence for the past 35 years.
He is survived by cousins, Robert L. Lavoie and his sons, Jean, Paul, and Marc Lavoie; Butch Deschene of Dracut, Jerry Deschene and Roger Deschene. He is also survived by a dear friend, Phyllis Grasso of Methuen.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 5, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church-Corpus Christi Parish, Essex St., Lawrence. Private burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
