Gerrish Island, Kittery Point, Maine — Jeanne (LeClerc) Farrah, a kind-hearted and vibrant mother of seven, passed away in the arms of her husband on Friday, March 8, 2013 at her Coconut Creek, Florida residence.
She was born and raised in Lawrence, the daughter of the late Valmore LeClerc and his wife Jeannette (Goudreau) LeClerc. Jeanne was the partner for over 65 years to her husband and best friend, Albert L. Farrah, Sr. Her family was the most important part of her life and she was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, her late parents and her late in-laws.
Jeanne worked beside her husband at the Farrah Funeral Home in Lawrence, MA. She will be remembered for baking a bread pudding for each family she served. Jeanne was a parishioner of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Lawrence and was an active member and past President of the Sodality and a supporter of the Daughter’s of St. Anthony. She was intimately involved in her beloved St. Anthony's church life and was embraced by many from the church who became her closest and life-long friends.
A former model, Jeanne graduated from Lawrence High School, attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Northern Essex Community College.
She was an accomplished Lebanese cook, who learned from her late mother-in-law, Helen G. Farrah and her friends. Jeanne enjoyed travel and visited Lebanon, the West Coast and Europe.
She leaves behind her husband Albert L. Farrah, Sr. of Kittery Point, ME. Son, Albert L. Farrah, Jr. and his wife Karen van Beers and their children, Gabriel and Sisi of Winchester, MA. Son, David W. Farrah of Methuen, MA and his daughters, Jennifer of Saalfalden, Austria and Elizabeth of Methuen, MA. Daughter, Jeanne C. Jabour and her husband, George and their children, Dylan, Sarah, and Michael of Brookline, MA. Louis J. Farrah, II and his wife, Ivanna and their children, Mia, Louis J. III, Oliver, and newborn Natalia of Andover, MA. Daughter, Melissa F. Bouzianis and her husband James and their children, Matthew, Nicholas, and Michael of North Hampton, NH. Daughter Maria F. Howell and her husband Raymond and their children, Isabel, Sam, and Ava of Newton, MA and son Clifford H. Farrah and his wife Kim and their children Cameron and Cole of Destin, FL. In addition, she is survived by 4 great grandchildren and her nieces Evelyn S. Caron of Andover, MA and Nina S. Caron of North Andover, MA and eight great nieces and grand nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, March 13, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery Methuen, MA. Friends may call Wednesday, March 12, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm at FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA.
