Nashua, NH; Formerly of Methuen, MA — Janet (Campbell) Woodburn, 84, died on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Greenbriar in Nashua, N.H. She was born on May 16, 1928, in Lowell, Mass., daughter of Alexander and Dorothy (Pratt) Campbell.
Janet spent her childhood in Andover, Mass., and graduated from Punchard High School. She continued her education graduating from Lasell Junior College, and then Hickox Secretarial School in Boston, Mass.
For many years she worked as a Dental Assistant for Ralph J. Maslen, DMD, in Andover, Mass.
Janet married her childhood sweetheart, Edgar S. Woodburn Jr., in 1953. They shared 56 years of marriage before his death on April 22, 2008. Among other things, they enjoyed sailing their boat on Lake Winnipesaukee. They also raised seven different beagles who went everywhere with them.
Over the years Janet and Edgar lived in Methuen, Mass., Washington, D.C., Santa Barbara, Calif., and finally retired to Nashua, N.H.
Janet wished to convey her many thanks to Robert and Leslie Budd and Dr. Fitzpatrick for all the great care given to her and her husband over the past several years, as well as the many nurses and aides who helped them while they were here.
ARRANGEMENTS: At Janet’s request there will be no services. She will be interred privately with her husband and parents at West Parish Cemetery in Andover, Mass.
