Angelo "Duke" G. Feole, 99


Methuen, MA — Angelo “Duke” G. Feole of Methuen, died peacefully Tuesday evening at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen. Duke would have celebrated his 100th birthday on May 1.

Angelo, son of the late Raffaele and Petronilia, (Iacobo) Feole, was born in Lawrence on May 1, 1913, and lived there many years. His beloved wife, Jennie (Grelle) Feole died in 2006. He was employed with the Raytheon Co., in Andover, for many years prior to his retirement.

During World War II, Duke served our country in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1945. According to Mr. Feole’s family, he enjoyed photography, was an accomplished musician, playing the piano, harmonica and accordion and was a music teacher for many years. Years ago, he and his brother Joe were owners of D&J Photo Service. He also enjoyed a great interest in astrology.

Duke will be sadly missed by his son, Ralph Feole, of Methuen; his daughter, Frances Twomey and her husband James, of Methuen; one brother, Joseph Feole, of Methuen; three sisters, Rita Chory, of Lawrence, Gloria Canzano, of Methuen, and Anna Marino, of Florida; five grandchildren, Derrick Feole, Jonathan Twomey, Matthew Twomey, Jennifer Twomey and Sara McDonald; four great grandchildren, Elizabeth and James Twomey, Alan Twomey and Mason McDonald, and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends will be warmly received in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary - Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
