Auburn, NH — Raymond W. Dodier, 81, of Auburn, NH, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.
Born in Haverhill, MA, he attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School, Haverhill, MA. He worked as a Supervisor for the Haverhill Highway Department and as a Crossing Guard at Nettle School.
Mr. Dodier was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. O’Doherty Assembly, and he was a life member of the Christ the King Council, where he had served as Grand Knight. He was also a member of the Haverhill Lodge of Elks and the Auburn Seniors Club.
He enjoyed playing bingo, trips to Foxwoods, fishing and hunting, playing 45’s and cribbage. He also enjoyed playing Santa’s Helper at local churches and businesses for many years.
The widower of the late Dorothy Claire (Sanella) Dodier, who died in July 2007, he is survived by two sons, and daughters-in-law, Raymond F. and Alicia Dodier of Auburn and Edward J. and Patricia Lafontaine of Haverhill, MA; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and James Hailson of Plaistow, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Carol Dodier of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and James Meehan of Haverhill, MA; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway Haverhill, MA. His funeral will begin on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM at All Saints Church, Haverhill, MA. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
