Elizabeth J. Goodwin, 91

Carlisle and formerly of Haverhill — Elizabeth J. “Betty” (Rogers) Goodwin, 91, of Carlisle and formerly of Haverhill died Friday morning, Dec. 28 at Emerson Hospital, Concord, MA.

She was born in Haverhill, Sept. 2, 1921, daughter of the late Clarence E. and Ruth A. (Page) Rogers.

Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mrs. Goodwin graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1939.

She was employed in the Haverhill shoe shops and also operated an antique shop in her home on North Main St., Haverhill. Mrs. Goodwin has been a resident of Carlisle since 2000.

She was the wife of the late Frederick H. Goodwin who died in 2001 and her survivors include four children, Elizabeth “Jane” Quinn and her husband Stephen of Carlisle, Frederick H. Goodwin of Bradford, Ruth M. Merrill and her husband George A. of Hooksett, NH, Rebecca L. Gilbert of North Kingstown, RI seven grandchildren, Theresa, Paul, Steven, Peter, Shelli, Abraham, Elizabeth, and five great grandchildren, Devynn, Paul, Jonathan, Jorden and Jillian as well as several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral service on Saturday morning, January 5, at 11:00 A. M. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Rivercrest Long Term Care, 80 Deaconess Rd., Concord, MA 01742.
