Salem, N.H. — Philip E. English Sr., age 69, of Salem, N.H., died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Dunstable, Mass., where he grew up and attended schools.
He was a resident of Salem for over 47 years. Phil was a self employed contractor, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed NASCAR, Old Orchard Beach, Horse Racing and Casinos. Most of all Phil loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Terramagra) English of Salem, three daughters, Cindy English and Lisa Wiley of Methuen, Laurae English and Dawn Hermann of Merrimack, N.H., Christine and her husband, Keith Sidman of Fremont, N.H.; two sons, Philip E. II and his wife, Heidi English of Salem, N.H., Joseph and his wife, Christie English of Pelham, N.H.; five brothers, Dwayne English of Salem, Merle English of Las Vegas, Hank English of Pepperell, Jack English of Manchester, N.H., Kenny English of Pepperell; sister, Barbara Wilson of Florida, four grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan Sidman, Taylor and Skylar Rae English; many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held Monday, January 14 from 4-8 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Cremation will follow.
