Formerly of Haverhill — Mildred E. (Bacigalupo) Lelis, 90, formerly of Haverhill died Friday, January 11, at Winchester Nursing Center, Winchester.
She was born in Boston, May 18, 1922, daughter of the late Frederick and Edith (Hayes) Bacigalupo. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Mrs. Lelis was employed as a Fancy Stitcher for the former Allen Shoe. She was a member of the former St. George’s Church, Haverhill, had a wonderful sense of humor and loved both life and the beach. In her retirement she and her husband traveled the country attending military reunions.
Her survivors include her husband of 71 years, Anthony M. Lelis of Winchester, a daughter, Patricia A. Lippett of Reading, a sister, Ruth Stewart of Bristol, NH and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lelis was the mother of the late Toni Lelis and sister of the late John Bacigalupo.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service on Monday afternoon, January 14 at 2:00 from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Lithuanian Cemetery, Bradford. Calling hours will precede the funeral service on Monday from 12:00 to 1:45 at the funeral home.
