Methuen — Mary Jane (Staunton) Mackin, 85, of Methuen passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Prescott House Nursing Home in North Andover surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New York, NY and was the daughter of the late Bernard and Jane (Morrisroe) Staunton.
Mary Jane was raised and educated in NY. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School in Bronx, NY and was a graduate of Mother Cabrini High School and Grace Institute both in New York City.
She worked as a secretary for Ethyl Corporation and Pan American Airlines both in NY and was a CCD Teacher at St. Anthony’s Parish in Nanuet, NY. She is also a parishioner at St. Michael’s Church in North Andover.
Mary Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Michael Mackin; her sons, Michael J. Mackin and his wife Shari of Lunenburg, MA and James Mackin and his wife Melaney of Springfield, VA and her daughters, Maura Mansour and her husband Michael of Methuen, Patricia Savino and her husband Christopher of Monroe, NY, Bernadette Graycar and her husband Paul of Braintree and Margaret Mannion and her husband Michael of North Andover. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and was predeceased by her sister, Catherine O’Hara.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 1, 2013 at St. Michael’s Church 190 Main St. North Andover. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
