SOUTH LAWRENCE — Lourdes S. Montero, 75, passed away Saturday morning at Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She is the wife of Mr. Richard Benjamin, her devoted husband of 35 years, long-time South Lawrence residents.
A native of Dominican Republic; she was daughter to the late Alcindo Montero and Edionela Pichardo.
Mrs. Montero was a certified teacher’s assistant. She rendered over a decade of service at the Captain Francis M. Lahey School and was dedicated to its students and staff.
She enjoyed studying the bible and sewing. Her greatest legacy to those she leaves behind is the very principle with which she led his life, one of example and good deed. She will be missed sadly.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by one son Eddy Nolasco; five grandchildren; Sisters, Aura Montero and Nelly Montero; several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral from The Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Opposite St. Patrick Church, South Lawrence. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will follow that evening in the funeral home’s South Chapel. Final acts of laying to rest are private.
