Haverhill — David “DJ” James, 55, formerly of Bradford, and most recently, living in Attleboro, passed away January 4, 2013 at home. Dave was the beloved son of the late Roland “Gus” A. and Meredyth (Harding) James and was born on July 11, 1957 in Haverhill.
A longtime resident of Bradford, Dave was educated at Sacred Hearts and Hunking Schools, Cardinal Cushing Academy, where he played football and was a 1975 graduate of Haverhill High School. DJ was employed as a clean room technician at Lucent Technologies in North Andover for over 20 years.
A resident of Attleboro for the past twelve years, DJ was an avid bicycle rider, enjoyed camping, driving his black Cadillac Eldorado and was a Friend of Bill W. Dave was a kind and generous man with a very unique sense of humor. He was loyal to his many friends and had hilarious adventures wherever he went with them. He was intelligent, quick witted and had a caring, considerate and sensitive soul.
"The Dave" was well loved by many and will be greatly missed by close friends in Haverhill and Attleboro, including his dearest lifelong friends, Mark Hayden and the late John Strangman, both of Haverhill.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are kindly invited at attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. DJ will be laid to rest at a graveside ceremony in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 395 N. Broadway, Haverhill, on Monday, February 11 at 2:15 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
