North Andover — John F. McGuire, 71, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease and diabetes.
He was the loving husband of Geraldine "Geri" (Pelletier) McGuire, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
He was born in South Berwick, Maine, on August 29, 1941, and was the son of the late James and Bertha (Aubin) McGuire.
John thoroughly enjoyed listening to all of Elvis Presley's music, there was not a song that he did not know. He also had a love for dogs, and many years ago had helped a litter of puppies be born.
John is also survived by his two daughters, Kelly and her husband, Ted Wells, of Winter Garden, Fla., and Sara and her husband, Jeff Margulas, of San Diego, Calif.; cherished granddaughter, Arden Wells, also of Winter Garden; two brothers, Jim and his wife, Betty McGuire, of North Berwick, Maine, and Ed McGuire of Topsham, Maine; and many nieces, nephews and their families. He was also predeceased by his twin sister, Joan McGuire, and sisters, Roberta Goings and Alicia McGuire.
ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of John's life will be privately held at the convenience of his family at a later date.
