Gillette, WY — Virginia Lillian “Ginny” Campagna, 86, of Gillette, Wyo., formerly of North Andover, Mass., died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from complications of COPD.
Born in Lawrence, Mass., she and her husband, Tony, lived in North Andover for many years, where they were active supporters of the town’s sports activities and the youth center. She was known in town as “Mrs. C,” due to her many years of working as the “lunch lady” in the North Andover School System.
A few years after her husband passed away, she moved to Gillette, to join her son Michael and his wife, Mary. She fell in love with the Western way, and it was her real joy to be involved with the activities associated with the horses and cows on their ranch.
She very much enjoyed going with her friends to yard sales and shopping in town.
She loved to cook her Italian specialties, and share stories about her Italian heritage and customs.
She truly lived a full and happy life with her beloved dogs, Bubba and Oreo. She will be missed by many here and out West.
She is survived by her son Michael and his wife, Mary, of Gillette; her son, David, of New Hampshire; and her brother Joseph Sangermano of Andover; along with other extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her sister, Rose Cahill; and her brother John Sangermano.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral arrangements in North Andover will be announced at a later date.
