Lawrence, MA — Mrs. Stella H. (Roy) (Greska) Rancourt, 89, of Lawrence, Mass., passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Mass., surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 3, 1924, in Lawrence, Mass., daughter of the late Peter and Angelina (Fournier) King. Stella was educated in the Lawrence schools and attended Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence. She worked as a receptionist for the City of Lawrence Housing Authority.
She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends.
She was the wife of the late Victor V. Rancourt
Stella is survived by her children, Jacqueline A. (Greska) Cassidy of Cape Cod, Cheryl M. (Greska) DiFruscio and her husband, Rocco DiFruscio, of Methuen, Mass., and Carol A. (Rancourt) Sorkhabi and her husband, Jay, of California; her grandchildren, Peter, Andrew, and Caitlin; sisters-in-law, Claire (Rancourt) Pollack of California and Mona (Rancourt) Shank and her husband, Donald Shank, of Methuen, Mass.; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother and his wife, George and Mae Roy, and son-in-law, Sean Cassidy.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her funeral service will immediately follow the wake at 2 p.m. in the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date.
