Dr. Raymond Ouellette, 95


MELBOURNE, FL — Dr, Raymond T. Ouellette, DDS, affectionately known as “Doc” passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Melbourne FL after a short illness. He was the husband of Dorothy “Dottie” (Weinhold) Ouellette with whom he had shared 42 years of marriage. He was predeceased by Doris (Dixon) Ouellette whom he married in 1943.

Doc was born July 7, 1917 in Lawrence MA to George and Blanche Ouellette. He was a graduate of Saint Patrick Grammar School, Lawrence High School and the University of Maryland. During World War II he was a member of the U. S. Army Medical Corps and served in the European Theater. After the war he maintained an oral surgery and dental practice in South Lawrence and was afilliated with the Lawrence school system. For a number of years he maintained a residence at Alton Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee. Doc loved the outdoors, and the time spent with his family at the lake. There was never a dull moment for anybody and numerous stories are told and retold of the fun experienced year round.

After retirement and relocation to Florida he became an avid golfer. He also played many courses up and down the East Coast while traveling back and forth to Lawrence to visit family and friends. Next to golf, his favorite pastime was playing cards. Many an evening, either locally, or in Florida, featured games far into the night.

In addition to Doris, mother of Jerry, Pam, Alan and Billy, he was predeceased by his sister, Bernadette McHenry. Doc is survived by sons Raymond and wife Judy of Windham NH, William and wife Ernestine of Lawrenceville GA, Alan of Connecticut, daughter Pamela and husband Werner Daigneault of East Hampstead NH, stepsons Barry Weinhold and wife Ginny of Salem NH and Byron Weinhold and wife Patti of Danville NH, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to celebrate Doc’s life at a Mass to be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 7:00AM in St. Patrick Church, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence MA.
