Salem, NH — Grace S. (Marella) Keaveny, 64, of Salem, N.H., died suddenly on Thursday, September 19, at her Salem residence. Grace was born and educated in Quincy, Mass., and was the daughter of the late Assunta (Papia) and John P. Marella.
She graduated from Quincy Hospital School of Nursing and Mercy College, earning her master’s degree in nursing at Mass General Hospital. Grace worked as a nurse practitioner at Evercare, assigned to the D’Youville Nursing Home in Lowell, Mass. Grace was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem. She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, reading, her grandchildren, and traveling to Europe with her husband.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Brian Keaveny of Salem; her children, Susan Keaveny of London, England, David Keaveny and his wife, Bryn Erin of Portsmouth, N.H., and their daughter Keira; Theresa Bell and her husband, Ryan, of Mesa, Ariz., and their two daughters, Lila and Kenzy; her sisters, Marie Ward and her husband, Kier, of Weymouth, Mass., and Angela Kemp and her husband, Alan, of Middleboro, Mass.; and loving nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Monday, September 23, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Stret, Salem. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., at Mary Queen of Peace, Salem. Burial will be in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, Mass.
