Fremont, NH — Rodney Scott Sturk, 60, of Fremont, passed away after a short bout with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, N.H.
Rodney was born on July 19, 1953 in Haverhill, Mass. Rodney was the son of the late Clarence J. and Gladys (Steere) Sturk. He was raised in and attended Haverhill schools. He served four years with the United States Coast Guard, and was honorably discharged. Rodney was employed as a motorcoach operator for The Coach Co. of Plaistow, NH, and known as “The Man in the Hat.”
Rodney is survived by his three sons, R. Scott Sturk, and Timothy M. Sturk and Robert G. Sturk, both of Milford, N.H.; and their mother, Agatha; three brothers, Robert Sturk of Concord, N.H., Phillip A. Sturk and his wife, Sandra, of Portsmouth, N.H., and Jeffrey Sturk and his wife, Sue, of Haverhill; sister-in-law, Mary(Cookie) Sturk of Atkinson, N.H.; two aunts; many cousins, nieces, nephews; and friends who loved him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Carl G. Davis, Post 34, The American Legion, 176 Main Street, Plaistow, N.H., on Sunday, September 29, from 2 to 4 p.m.
