Concetta Pappalardo


Methuen — Concetta (Vincenti) Pappalardo, of Methuen, passed away peacefully Tuesday at Lawrence General Hospital. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Cardella) Vincenti, and the widow of Joseph Pappalardo, who died in 2003. She was educated at Holy Rosary Grammar School and Lawrence High School.

Concetta worked as a supervisor in the garment industry in Lawrence for many years at Lawrence Garment Co. and later at Grieco Brothers. She enjoyed sewing; playing cards especially 45’s with family and friends, but her most enjoyable time was cooking and being with her family. She was also a member of the Italian Women’s Club of Lawrence.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Pappalardo and his wife, Priscille, David Pappalardo, all of Methuen. She leaves one granddaughter, Robyn Perin and 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Concetta was also predeceased by her son, Robert Pappalardo, and sisters, Mary Rodolico, and Ann DePetrillo.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 4, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
