Torino A. Brandolini

Haverhill — Torino A. ("Brandy") Brandolini, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away on September 30, 2013, at Merrimack Valley Hospital surrounded by his children.

He was born at 100 River Street on April 25, 1924, and was the son of the late Marino and Agostina (Bonoli) Brandolini. He attended Haverhill schools and was a graduate of the electrical department at Haverhill Trade School, class of 1943. He went on to become a master electrician and also taught electrical courses at night at Haverhill Trade School.

Mr. Brandolini was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp as a radio technician from August, 1943 until being honorable discharged in February, 1946. After his discharge from the Army, he married Eleanor M. Warner in 1949. They had five children. Having been employed by CBS Hytron, he was transferred to Kalamazoo, MI in 1954. In 1975, he moved to Las Vegas where he was employed by the Environmental Protection Agency until his retirement and returned again to Haverhill in 1992.

His activities included gardening, fishing, camping, good Italian food and always a good game of 45's. He always enjoyed finding a great deal and was an avid couponer. He would often pick up broken items, fix them and donate them to Ruth's House.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Brandolini of Haverhill, Thomas Brandolini of East Kingston, NH; his daughters, Trina Pillsbury and her husband, William, of Haverhill, and Lori Nichols and her husband, Earle, of Haverhill.
