Salem, NH — Carol M. (Houde) O’Brien, 69, of Salem, N.H., died on Sunday, October 6, at Salemhaven. Carol was born and educated in Waltham, Mass., and was the daughter of the late Mary (Spellman) and Joseph Houde. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Carol retired from the Waltham Housing Authority, where she was a secretary. She enjoyed her home, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband, Martin “Chris” O’Brien; and her siblings, Joseph L. Houde Jr. and Elizabeth Cleary. She is survived by her daughters, Maureen and her husband, Joseph Santo of Salem, and Ellen O'Brien Guarini and her husband, Daniel of Methuen, Mass.; sister, Cecelia and her husband, George Carey of Brockton, Mass.; grandchildren, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Saturday, October 12, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem.
