Methuen — Donna Marie Scanlon, 72, a resident of Methuen, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, with her children by her side.
Born in Lawrence on January 19, 1941, to John A. and Margaret (Norman) Scanlon. She was crowned Queen of the May during her grammar school years. Donna graduated from Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH. After raising her family, she worked for 27 years as a Patient Admissions Supervisor for the Lawrence General Hospital and while working there she made lifelong friends with her coworkers. She took an early retirement in 1992 to care for her mother.
Donna was an avid reader and a movie enthusiast. She loved animals and was very passionate about it, especially her cherished dog, Murphy. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Consoli of Methuen and her daughter, Karen Consoli of Haverhill, also her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sevigny and Johnathan Consoli. Donna was predeceased by baby, Michael David Grover.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Lucy Church in Methuen. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
