Lawrence, MA — Mr. Edward T. Purcell, 85, of Lawrence, died on Saturday at Holy Family Hospital. Born in Lowell, Mr. Purcell had been an area resident all his life. He was the son of the late Christopher and Nora (Glynn) Purcell.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Purcell enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
The widower of Cecile M. (Perron) Purcell and father of the late Kenneth and Steven Purcell, he is survived by one son, Glenn Purcell and his wife, Dianne, of Lawrence; one grandson, Bryan Purcell; and one great-granddaughter, Baylee Purcell; and two sisters, Sarah and Rita Purcell, both of Lowell.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Plonowski Funeral Home, 180 Jackson Street, Lawrence.
