Florence Demers, 96


Methuen, MA — Florence (Parent) Demers, 96, of Lawrence and Methuen, passed away at Salemhaven Nursing Home with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, November 5. Florence was born in Lawrence, daughter of the late Joseph and Ianna (Savoie) Parent. She was raised and educated in Lawrence and later worked at Bobbin Shop in Lawrence, Unitrode Computer Products in Methuen, and prior to retirement as an office manager for Demers Plumbing for many years. In her free time, Florence enjoyed bingo, playing cards, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Florence is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Joseph Demers and is survived by a son, Donald Demers and his wife, Darlene, of Moultonborough, NH; a daughter, Diane Ebert of Methuen and San Antonio, TX; a brother, Gerard Parent his wife, Theresa, of Methuen; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, November 8, from 4-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Funeral Mass of Christen Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, at St Monica’s Church in Methuen followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
