Bradford — Grace L. (Fletcher) Donais, 83, of South Main Street, formerly of Southbridge, died on Friday, November 8, in the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, after a long illness.
Her husband, Wilmer L. Donais, died in 1999. She leaves her son, Mark L. Donais and his wife, Toni, of Bradford; and three grandchildren, Melissa Donais and her husband, Nate Jenkins of North Andover, Jennifer Donais of Haverhill, and Christopher Donais of Ballston Spa, N.Y.
She was born in Newburyport, and was the daughter of William F. and Gertrude L. (Dutcher) Fletcher. She was a 1948 graduate of Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge, and lived in Southbridge, until moving to Bradford over 20 years ago.
Grace worked for many years at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge. She later worked in the dining hall of Bradford College and the cafeteria of Phillips Academy in Andover. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 13, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, with a Mass at 11 a.m., in St. Mary's Church of the Blessed John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, November 13, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., before the Mass.
