Haverhill — William H. Flynn Sr., 78, of Haverhill, passed away on Friday, February 21, at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington. He was born in Somerville, Mass., and was the son of the late Bernard and Frances (Daly) Flynn.
Mr. Flynn was the world’s best "Buppa" to his granddaughter, Margaret Aylward Flynn. He was a loving father to Billy and Julie. Mr. Flynn loved telling bad jokes, and keeping friends and family up to date on the state of the economy and politics in this country. He could fix anything, and was always happy to help. He had a smile for everyone and was quick to forgive. When he hugged you, he did so completely.
Mr. Flynn was predeceased by his brother, Bernard Flynn.
He is survived by his son, William H. Flynn Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Renata Aylward; and his granddaughter, Maggie Flynn of Sudbury; his daughter, Julia Flynn of Plum Island; his brother, Paul Flynn and his wife, Alice, of Chatham; and his sister, Ethel Rust of Georgia. He is also survived by Marianne of Andover; and leaves several nieces and nephews.
