Haverhill — Mark L. Travis, of Haverhill, formerly of Billerica, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at his home after a brief illness.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Marilyn (Gough) Travis of Worcester and Lawrence J. Travis of Cape Cod, currently residing in Jensen Beach, Fla. Mark was a dedicated self-employed mason for more than 30 years and president of A1 Masonry Inc. of Billerica. He was avid historian and martial arts collector, who enjoyed family travel, playing cards, and socializing with friends at several greater Lowell and Haverhill establishments.
Besides his father, he is survived by a son, Jeremy Travis of Billerica; a daughter, Shelley Travis of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Faith Travis and her partner, David Sullivan of Tyngsboro and Judith (Travis) Lahiff and her husband, Dan of South Daytona, Fla.; as well as a brother, James Travis of Tyngsboro, former wife, Jill Mongan of Sarasota, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
