Haverhill — William C. Deramo, Sr., 89, a lifelong resident of Haverhill passed away Thursday March 28, 2013 at Wingate of Haverhill.
He was born in Haverhill on Nov. 28, 1923, son of the late Dominico and Mary (Bonasia) Deramo. Bill was a graduate of Haverhill High School with the class of 1941 and held various jobs including Manager of Robert Hall clothing store and Realtor for Di-An Realty. He later served as a funeral service professional for 25 years at H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes in Haverhill & Bradford.
He was a member of the former St. George’s Church in Haverhill and had attended both All Saints and Sacred Hearts Parishes.
Bill was proud of his Italian heritage and was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Michael Bocuzzo Post. He looked forward to family gatherings and holiday with his loved ones. Enjoyed gardening and took pride in his tomato plants. Bill had a great sense of humor and was known for his humorous storytelling.
He was the husband of the late, Mary R. (Venturo) Deramo and father of the late, William C. Deramo, Jr. who died Oct. 14, 1990. Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Mary E. and her husband, Christopher Dube; his son, Mark J. Deramo and his wife, Cheryl all of Haverhill; sister, Louise Scuito of No. Andover; four grandchildren, Dominic and Mark Deramo, James and Daniel Whitney, and four step-grandchildren Kevin and Kristy (Wagland) Deramo and Kayla and Cristina Dube. Two great-grandchildren Nicolas Huberdeau and Anthony Deramo. Also an Aunt Nina (Bonasia) Bevilacqua as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Wingate of Haverhill and Brookhaven Hospice for the special care they provided.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday, April 2 at 9 a.m. from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church, Bellevue Ave. Haverhill. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. Calling hours will be Monday, April 1 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in his memory may be made to the William C.
