Eleanor O. (Bonin) Wheeler, 93

Plaistow — Eleanor O. (Bonin) Wheeler, 93, of Plaistow, formerly of Haverhill, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H., surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of Alfred and Adeline E. (Fontaine) Bonin, and was educated in Haverhill Public School System.

Mrs. Wheeler was a hard worker all of her life. A full-time homemaker, she also worked full-time as a waitress for many years. She and her late husband lived in Maryland when first married, they then raised their family in South Boston, then moving to Lincoln, Neb., Greeley, Colo., then on to San Jose, Calif., and finally returning to Plaistow, N.H., where she resided for the past 15 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great grandmother; family always came first. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, cribbage, and was an avid Red Sox Fan.

The widow of Lawrence C. Wheeler, who died in 1995, she leaves her beloved children, two sons, Paul R. Wheeler Sr., and his wife, Janet, of Salem, N.H., and Larry C. Wheeler and his wife, Sherri, of Milton, N.H.; a daughter, Lillian A. Smith and her husband, Jay, of Hampstead, N.H.; nine grandchildren, Paul R. Wheeler Jr., Linda Howard, Eric C. Wheeler, Heather Peters, Mark Smith, Jay Smith, Todd Wheeler, Scott Wheeler, and Shannon Wheeler; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lillian - AKA, Sr. St. Donald, S.G.S., Annette Thurlo, Cecile McPhee, Nap Bonin, Ray Bonin, Richard Bonin, and Bob Bonin.

ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, April 11, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125), Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anne’s Church, 26 Emmerson Ave., Hampstead, NH. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made to the local hospice chapter of one’s choice.
