Angelina 'Angie' Thomas, 89


Methuen — Angelina "Angie" (Vittorioso) Thomas, 89, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence, surrounded by her loving family. Angie was born and raised in Providence, R.I., and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rose (DiStefano) Vittorioso, and the widow of Moses J. Thomas.

Angelina loved to go to Foxwoods with her son, Robert, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed praying the Rosary with her dear friend, Pat Ferguson.

We would like to thank the amazing nursing staff and her special friend, Kenny, at Mary Immaculate Nursing Center for their care, respect and love.

She is survived by her children; Robert J. Thomas of Methuen, and Linda R. DiFazio and her husband, John, of Hudson, N.H.; her siblings, Emanuel Vittorioso of Cranston, R.I., Anthony Vittorioso of Providence, James Vittorioso of North Smithfield, R.I., and Marie Femino of Providence; her four loving grandchildren, Robert Broccoli and his wife, Traci, of Waterville, N.H., Kimberly Zoulias and her husband, William, of Hudson, NH, Joseph Broccoli and his wife Victoria of Monroe, GA, and Gina Wilson and her husband Ian of Hudson; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Angie was predeceased by her brother, John Vittorioso, and a sister, Carmella Bruno.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends will be received at visiting hours on Tuesday September 3, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 4, at 9 a.m., at St. Monica's Church, 214 Lawrence St., Methuen. Interment will follow in the United Lebanese Cemetery, Lawrence.
