Haverhill — Alice F. (Frampton) Coddaire, 75, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, with her loving family by her side.
Born on March 5, 1938, in Somerville, Alice was the daughter of Preston and Cecilia (Coffee) Frampton. She attended St. Joseph Grammar School and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. She made Haverhill her permanent home when she married Francis “Joe” Coddaire in 1955.
Alice was employed at Northern Essex Community College in the registrars’ office for many years, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed helping students and seeing them succeed. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She was an active member of several social clubs in Haverhill. Alice lived life to the fullest and traveled whenever possible. Her friends and family knew her as a free spirit and all knew there was not much she wouldn’t try, or attempt if it interested her.
The widow of Francis J. “Joe” Coddaire, who died in 1985, she leaves her beloved children, Timothy J. Coddaire, of Haverhill, Tracy J. Coddaire of Dunlap, Tenn., Donna M. Woodard and her husband, Harry, of Dover, N.H., and Sandra L. Ellis and her husband, Raymond, of Raymond, N.H.; a sister, Carol A. Howell of Denham Springs, La.; five cherished grandchildren, Amy J. Coddaire, Jennifer Scott, Jessica Keys, and Michael and Daniel Dunn; two great-grandchildren, Seth and Jenna Mae; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Theresa Margaret; sisters, Margaret Hayes, Ruth McQueeney, Barbara Fahey; and brothers, John and Robert Frampton.
