Viola G. Libby, 88


North Andover — Viola G. (Bell) Libby, 88, lifelong resident of North Andover, passed away on Monday, October 14, at Lawrence General Hospital. She was born in North Andover.

Viola was retired from Western Electric AT&T after 28 years of service. She played on the Western Electric Women’s Softball Team, and enjoyed gardening, music and decorating her home.

She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Henry J. Libby; her parents, Earl and Rose (Duffy) Bell; her sister, Arlene Harrison; and her brother, Robert E. Bell.

Viola is survived by her daughters, Marylou Libby and Carol Morris, both of North Andover; her grandson, Robert A. Morris and his wife, Hillary Morris; her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Brielle Morris, all of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is gone from our home, but not from our hearts.

The family would like to thank Dr. Al Farah, Dr. Kung and nurses, Ryan, Diane and Mallen at Lawrence General Hospital for their care and compassion.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, at 10 a.m., at St. Michael’s Church, North Andover. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, North Andover. Family and friends may call on Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover.
