Bradford — Susan E. (Abati) Martin, 61, of Bradford, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Winchester Hospital after a short illness. Susan was the daughter of Anthony Abati of Methuen and the late Madeleine (Theberge) Abati. She was the beloved wife of the late James Martin who died in 2009.
Susan was born in Methuen and was raised and educated in Lawrence and was a 1970 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She was a computer programmer at Raytheon for 30 years and later worked at CSC Corporation until her retirement in 2010.
Besides her father, Anthony Abati, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Boehm of Bradford; her brothers, Charles Abati of Parsippany, NJ, Daniel Abati and his wife, Noreen, of North Andover; and her sister, Mary D. Pomerleau and her husband, Robert, of Methuen. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many cousins, with whom she enjoyed spending time.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Friday, November 1, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral service will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
