Bradford — Marilyn J. (Crawford) Wagner, 67, of Bradford passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2013, at Lawrence General Hospital. Marilyn was born in Lawrence, and was the daughter of Mary M. (Eaton) Crawford and the late Gordon K Crawford. She was the widow of Richard J. Wagner. Marilyn was also predeceased by her brother, Gordon K. Crawford Jr.
Marilyn was raised and educated in North Andover, and worked for many years at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, before retiring.
Marilyn enjoyed reading books and writing poetry. She won the Gabriel Brahm Prize in American Literature at Northern Essex Community College in 1996, and became a published poet in 2004.
She loved spending time at the ocean, where she and her mother enjoyed many hours during the summer. She loved singing and listening to gospel music, and would share her own vocal talent when given the opportunity.
Marilyn is survived by her mother, Mary M. Crawford; one aunt; three cousins; and multiple cherished friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Thursday, November 7, at Conte Funeral Home, Third Street North, Andover, Mass., from 11 to 12 a.m., and memorial service at 12 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
