Lawrence — Marcia B. (Ahrenstein) Linn, 93, of Lawrence, died on Friday evening, November 8, at the Holy Family Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on February 5, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Abraham and Lena (Zarawsky) Ahrenstein.
Educated in the Brooklyn School System, Mrs. Linn came to Lawrence in 1965.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Torissi and Munroe Oil Co., Methuen, and also in the same capacity for the Jewish Community Center, Lawrence.
A member of Hadassah, Mrs. Linn continuously supported the United Jewish Appeal, loved to entertain her family and friends, and enjoyed her Mahjong group.
She was the wife of the late Irving H. Linn, who died in 1999, and mother of the late Joel Linn, who died in 2011.
Her survivors include two sons, Mark Linn of Lawrence, and Donald and his wife, Janice Linn of Methuen; a daughter-in-law, Giselle Linn of Hampden, Maine; a former daughter-in-law, Marianne Swift of Fairport, N.Y.; and six grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished, Tony, Kathryn, Rachel, Leah, Aubra, and Elise.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service on Monday, November 11, at 1 p.m., in Children of Abraham Cemetery, Beacon St., Lawrence. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill & Bradford. A memorial observance will be held at her residence, on Monday, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
