Haverhill — Jane (White) Sullivan, 86, of Haverhill, formerly of Hebron, NH, died Monday, October 8, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late, William E. and Jane C. (Dougherty) White. Educated in Pittsburgh, she was a Graduate of Crafton High School, Class of 1944. She then continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh and received her Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois, Champaign.
Mrs. Jensen was employed as a Librarian at Oregon State College in Corvallis, OR, when she met and married her late husband, Thorkel in 1950. Relocating to Houston for a few years, the family then moved to California in 1959 and would stay until 1984, then moving to Hebron, NH, for the next twenty years.
She enjoyed traveling and camping and did so with her family around the world. An avid reader, she was also a gifted piano player and enjoyed listening to music.
The widow of Thorkel H. Jensen, who died in 2003, she leaves her loving daughter with whom she lived, Andrea Jensen, of Haverhill, sister in law, Mary White, of Texas, beloved nieces and nephews, Patrice Lessor, of Ilinois, Carolyn Lobdell, of Texas, William White, also of Texas, Niels Jensen, of California, Karen James, of Alaska, and several great nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas R.White.
