Salem, NH — Joseph R. Casey, age 88, of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH. He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a longtime Salem, NH resident. Joe worked as a lithographer and shipper for Frank C. Meyer Corp. in Lawrence, MA. He was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem. Joe enjoyed dancing and playing cards, but most of all Joe loved to bring laughter into people’s lives and had a joke book published “Now That’s Funny.” He is survived by his daughter, Carol Fascione and her husband, Paul Neveu, of York, ME; brother, Walter Casey of East Hartland, CT; sisters, Shirley Hughes of Daytona, FL, Hilda Desilets of Nashua, NH; granddaughter, Danielle Fascione-Tusch of Sandy Hook, CT; great-granddaughter, Heather Tusch; several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 25, at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover, MA. Calling hours will be Sunday, Nov. 24, from 2-5 p.m. at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
