Salem, NH — Eleanor M. (Jean) Berard Levesque, 74, of Salem, N.H., died on Monday at Holy Family Hospital. Eleanor was born and educated in Lawrence, Mass., and graduated from St. Anne’s High School. She was the daughter of the late Jeannette (Theberge) and Archille Jean. Eleanor retired from Smith & Nephew in Andover, Mass. Eleanor was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Ingram Senior Center in Salem. She was an avid 45’s player and enjoyed Bingo, antiquing, reading, cooking, and taking care of her home. She loved her family and visiting her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Berard Sr., her grandson, Justin Delaney, and her siblings, Ronald and Russell Jean, and Laurette Beaudin. She is survived by her husband, Roger Levesque of Salem; her son, Robert Berard Jr. of Rochester, N.H.; her daughters, Maureen Kolifrath and fiancé, Mike Bartlett of Methuen, Mass., Lisa and husband, William Fernandez of Salem, Tracey Berard of Salem; her stepson, William Siegel Jr. and wife, Anne, of Leominster, Mass.; her sisters, Theresa Pellerin of Pelham, N.H., and Marcelle and husband, Phillip Lantange of Salem; five grandchildren, Bobby, Becca, Steve, Erin and Jake; four great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are Thursday, August 22, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 23, at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Church in Salem. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
