Haverhill, MA — Mary L. (Amodio) Sullivan, 87, lifelong Haverhill resident, died on Friday afternoon, September 6, 2013, at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Born in Haverhill on April 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elvira (Candini) Amodio, and had attended Haverhill public schools. She was employed as a winder at Western Electric, and later retired from AT&T.
Mary enjoyed playing cards, tending to her tomato garden, and trips to Foxwoods. Most of all, she took pleasure in spending time with her family, who will always cherish their wonderful memories.
The beloved wife of the late William W. Sullivan, she is survived by her three children, William W. Sullivan Jr. and wife, Jane, of Plaistow, N.H., Kathleen Bouvier and husband, Robert, of Plaistow, and Ronald Sullivan and wife, Judy, of Haverhill; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Quimby of Florida, and Theresa Dennis of Bradford; a brother, Peter Amodio of Florida; and special nieces, Carol Carsanaro and Sandra Pappalardo. She was predeceased by her sister, Rachel Cataldo, and her brothers, Michael, Jack, Carlo, and Theodore Amodio.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours, funeral services and burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill, will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers-Scatamacchia Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill.
