Merrimack, NH — James “Jim” N. Boardman Jr., 63, of Merrimack, N.H., died unexpectedly at his home in Merrimack on Saturday, September 7, 2013.
He was born on May 4, 1950, in Methuen, Mass., and was a son of the late Mildred (Lund) and James N. Boardman Sr. Mr. Boardman was a graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen, and attended Massachusetts State College in Salem, Mass. He had been a resident of Merrimack for 38 years.
Mr. Boardman was the husband of Lauren (Dowd) Boardman, whom he married on November 14, 1970. They shared 42 years of marriage.
He was a merchandiser for Acosta Inc. in Saco, Maine.
Mr. Boardman enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod, spending time and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, and fishing. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren at various sporting events. Mr. Boardman also enjoyed music and gourmet cooking.
In addition to his wife, Lauren, of Merrimack, survivors include two sons, James M. Boardman and his wife, Tracy, of Nashua, and Richard “Rich” L. Boardman and his wife, Lindsey, of Portsmouth; a daughter, Laura Bobbitt and her husband, Kevin, of Merrimack; six grandchildren; a brother, Bruce Boardman and his wife, Lorraine, of Merrimack; and a niece and two nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua, on Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to attend. Interment prayers and burial will be private.
