Andover, MA — Joseph Paul Tavilla, 82, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 8, following a long illness. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Pauline (Olsen) Tavilla of Andover, Mass.; daughter, Karen Tavilla of Hampstead, N.H.; daughter, Deborah and husband, Leonard Conte of Methuen, Mass.; daughter, Melissa and husband, Michael Dolan of Andover, Mass.; son, Joseph Tavilla, Jr. of Andover, Mass; and grandchildren, Joon-Ho and Anna Lee of Hampstead, N.H.; Lorenzo and Lauren Conte of Methuen, Mass.; and Angela and Christopher Dolan of Andover, Mass.
Joe leaves his siblings, F. Claire (Tina) Maselli of Cranbury, N.J.; Pauline Citro of Fort Mill, S.C.; Paul Tavilla of Arlington, Mass.; Rosalie Tavilla of Naples, Fla.; and Richard Tavilla of Bedford, Mass. He was predeceased by his brothers, Stephen Tavilla of Bedford, Mass.; Anthony Tavilla of South Boston, Mass.; Ernest Tavilla of Lexington, Mass.; and David Tavilla of Lincoln, Mass. In addition to his siblings, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Joe leaves behind many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours were Monday, May 13, 4 to 8 p.m., at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA. The funeral service took place on Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at West Congregational Church in Haverhill, Mass., and was followed by burial at West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover, Mass.
