Gilberte T. 'Gil' Joncas, 83

Barefoot Bay, FLA — Gilberte T. "Gil" (Cloutier) Joncas, 83, of Barefoot Bay, Fla., formerly of Pelham, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 11, at her home. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Chanel "Joe" Joncas, who survives her.

Born in Augusta, Maine, on January 2, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and the late Marie Ainge (Blais) Cloutier.

Gil spent most of her life living in the southern New Hampshire area where she cared for her family and worked as a final inspector at Raytheon in Andover for 16 years before retiring.

She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Pelham.

Gil's retirement years were shared between Pelham and Barefoot Bay. She enjoyed shopping with her sister, and playing darts in the Women's Dart League of Barefoot Bay. She was known for her enthusiastic love for playing cards with her friends and family. There was nothing she was more proud of than her family, who absolutely adored her.

Gil's infectious personality, unwavering love, selflessness and fun humor will be missed by all who knew her. It was truly a blessing to have her in our lives.

In addition to her husband Joe, Gil is survived by a daughter Cathy Candelario of Canyon Lake, Texas; two sons, Steven Joncas and his wife, Mary Ellen of Pelham, and Brian Joncas and his wifem Martine of Derry, N.H.; five grandchildren, Shannon, Brad, Michael, Amanda, and Kailee; a sister, Doris Downs of South Windsor, Conn.; three sisters-in-law, Theresa Berube, Claire Craven and her husband, James and Marion Joncas; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was also the sister of the late Don Cloutier.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may gather for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Pelham Funeral Home, 11 Nashua Road in Pelham.
