Doris M. Bishop, 91

Atkinson, NH — Doris M. (Comeau) Bishop, 91, a resident of East Road, Atkinson, since 1945 and formerly of Haverhill, Mass., died Friday, June 21, at the Bedford Hills Nursing Home, Bedford, N.H.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Rita (Thimot) Comeau, and attended Haverhill schools, graduating from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1940. She worked as a home healthcare aide and also owned and operated a dairy farm with her late husband.

A member of Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Mrs. Bishop was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed sewing and being a housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed summers at her camp on Province Lake and her summer porch at home. She most enjoyed all of the special times she shared with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter.

The widow of Frederick F. Bishop Sr. who died in 2004, she is survived by her three sons, Daniel A. Sr. and his wife, Dianne Bishop of East Wakefield, Mass., Terry M. and his wife, Cathy Bishop of Plaistow, and Bruce R. “Randy” Bishop of Atkinson; her daughter, Roxanne Feuer of Atkinson; her dear friend, Robert Ray of Atkinson; and 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was the mother of the late Frederick F. Bishop Jr., who died in 2002.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Monday, June 24, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow Village, Plaistow, NH. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, at Holy Angels Cemetery in Plaistow.
