Michael Mahoney, 48

Newton, NH — Michael Mahoney, 48, of Newton, N.H., died unexpectedly on June 23, 2013.

Michael was raised in Malden, Mass., where he attended public schools. He later moved to New Hampshire with his family where he enjoyed taking care of his lawn and was often found doing the army crawl to pull the weeds. He worked for many years in the IT department of John Hancock where he met and married his soul mate and best friend, LeeAnn. He later worked for JP Morgan/Chase as a Technical Consultant.

Michael was a dedicated family man with a huge and loving heart. He could always be found by his wife’s side and was extremely proud of his daughters. His favorite place on earth was Aruba where he vacationed every year. He was a die-hard Redskins fan and avid U2 follower. He loved his Guinness and had fond memories of a trip to Ireland where he visited the brewery. He loved to golf and was part of a town-wide golf league. He enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his one-liners. He was always willing to help anyone who needed him and was a foster parent for rescued animals.

He is survived by his loving wife, LeeAnn (Menenello); his daughters, Marissa and Miranda; his mother, Jeanne Eisnor and stepfather, Bruce; his sister, Karen Plant and her husband, Glenn; his niece and godchild, Sydney Plant and his godchild, Miranda Greene. He also leaves behind a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, their spouses, several nieces and nephews and many old and new friends. His passing will be felt for a long time.

Friends and family are invited to wear “island” attire to the services in his memory.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Friday, June 28, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral Mass will take place Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church, 214 Lawrence St., Methuen.
