Gilford, NH — Lilian Anne Hilgendorf, 90, of Old Lake Shore Road, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Greenbriar in Nashua.
She was born September 19, 1923, in London, England, the daughter of Joseph and Matilda (Sapsford) Mardell. She retired after a long, fulfilling career at Raytheon. She enjoyed cooking, reading, baking and travel.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Amy (Meyerhoefer) Tefft and her husband, Alan of Nashua and Jill Meyerhoefer of Lowell, Mass.; her great-granddaughter, Brynn Tefft of Nashua; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Meyerhoefer of Hudson, N.H.; a sister, Joyce Sonsky of Laconia; her three nieces, Melissa Roskilly, Ava Lane and Nadine Smith; and two nephews, Paul Meyerhoefer and Carl Meyerhoefer; many great nieces and nephews and her cousin, Joan Wallis, and family of England. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two husbands, Walter Meyerhoefer and Arthur Hilgendorf; a son, Clyde Meyerhoefer; and a sister, Avis Mardell.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Graveside Service will be privately held at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, Mass.
