Methuen — Christopher J. Burns, 46, of Methuen passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 8, at his home. Born and raised in Methuen, he was a graduate of Lawrence Technical Vocational School.
Christopher was a self-employed licensed electrician and also worked at Polartec in Lawrence. He was an accomplished musician on guitar and piano. He played in many local bands including “Last Call” and “Common Crossing.” He was a long time member in good standing of the Dewey Club in Methuen.
He was predeceased by his father, Albert W. Burns.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Barbara (Dandeneau) Burns of Methuen; his brother, Steven Burns and his companion, Felicia Craig of Methuen; his sisters, Elizabeth Zocchi of Hampton, N.H., Maureen Tulley and her husband, Thomas, Ellen Paine and her husband, Mark, and Catherine Saba and her husband, Steven; and his especially close cousin, Barbara Cotter, all of Methuen. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Chris was an avid golfer, sports fan, games enthusiast, and most importantly, a beautiful person and a steadfast friend. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church, 214 Lawrence St., Methuen. Interment will be in St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Andover.
