Andover — Dorothy (Happe) Beatty, 87, of Andover and formerly of Montoursville, Pa., passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Academy Manor in Andover. Dorothy was born in Carroll, Iowa on April 1, 1927 to the late George and Eleanor (Bucholz) Happe. Dorothy was an Office Manager for many years with the V.N.A. in Williamsport, Pa., and during her spare time, she loved to read and root on her favorite teams, the Red Sox and Patriots.
Mrs Beatty was the beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Beatty and is survived by her children, James W. Beatty and his wife Karin of Williamsport, Pa., G. Thomas Beatty and his wife, Kathleen of Rockford, Ill., Katherine Scheuren and her husband, Frank of Womelsdorf, Pa. and Mary Jo Gustus and her husband, Gerry of Andover, as well as her eight grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her son, Michael J. Beatty and her daughter, Dorothy A. Beatty.
The entire Beatty family would like to thank the staff at Academy Manor for all the care they showed to their mom during her stay.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her funeral Mass on Monday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, North Reading. Interment will be held in Montoursville, Pa. at a later date. There are no calling hours.
