Orthry "Audrey" Vasquez, 37


Lawrence — Orthry "Audrey" Vasquez of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away at 8:15 PM on February 18, 2013 succumbing to her six year battle with cancer. She is the daughter of Ramona Santiago and Freddie Torres of Lawrence. "Audrey" as she was affectionately known is survived by her husband Jose Vasquez, her sisters; Dora Santiago of Lawrence, Yolanda Arriaga of North Carolina, her brother Thomas Castro of Florida and sisters Lillian Pena of Lawrence, Celia Santell of Amesbury, and Elizabeth Torres of Lawrence and several nieces and nephews. Audrey's siblings from her father's side include Anna Torres of Lawrence, Jamileth Torres of Boston and Tony Torres of Brockton. She was predecease in life by her sister Aurea Jimenez, her niece Yelitza Castro and her beloved cats Lexus and Luigie.

"Audrey" was employed at Hewett Packard for ten years and a 2011 graduate of the University of Phoenix where she obtained her Bachelor Degree in Business Management. She was an online writer at Yahoo Contributes Network and for a time conducted her own Online Radio Station (Lawtown Finest Radio) where she interviewed several Hip-Hop and Rap Artist of note. "Audrey" loved going to live concerts to see her favorite artists. She enjoyed poetry, going to Celtic games, dog sitting, traveling and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. "Audrey" will be greatly missed for her unique personality, sweetness, smile, talents, love and care for others. Audrey will be remembered for her great courage she demonstrated during her battle with cancer right up to her final moments surrounded by family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A viewing will be held at the Farrah Funeral Home in Lawrence on Monday, February 25 from 4-8pm. On Tuesday, February 26, a mass service will be held at the Saint Patrick's Church at 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence, Ma.
