Formerly of Haverhill — Jean E. Berry, 84, formerly of Haverhill died Sunday morning, February 24, at Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cambridge.

She was born in Haverhill, December 2, 1928 daughter of the late Guy and Clara (Crosby) Berry.

Educated in the Haverhill school system, Jean graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1946. In 1951 she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University and, in 1953, her Master’s Degree from Simmons College. She was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

She moved to Cambridge in 1953 and, for over 38 years, was employed as a Senior Social Worker for Family Services of Greater Boston, in their Malden office, from where she retired in 1990.

Her survivors include a cousin Shirley Carlsen of Farmington, NH, and several longtime dear friends in the Cambridge area.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service TODAY, Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 26, at 2:00 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Visitation will precede the Funeral Service from 1:30 to 2:00 at the Funeral Home.
