John "Jack" M. Wallace, 52

Formerly of Lawrence, Ma. — John "Jack" M. Wallace, 52, passed away unexpectedly December 25 at his home on St John, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Jack was born and raised in Lawrence and attended St Augustine's Grammar School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1978.

Jack moved to St John with his partner Steve St Onge 12 years ago. Jack loved the island life and enjoyed going to the beach as often as possible. Because of his love for animals he was very involved with the local animal shelter. Jack was the owner of Villa Fish.com, a villa rental company for the Caribbean islands. Jack worked hard to establish his business and became a villa rental specialist.

He is predeceased by his parents William and Rita (Michaud) Wallace and brother Gary of Lawrence. He will be deeply missed by his partner of 16 years, Steve St Onge as well as his brother William Wallace and wife Eileen of Methuen, Ma., his niece Jamie (Wallace) Gabriel and husband Kenneth of Salem, N.H., and their children William and Olivia, and niece Lynne (Wallace) Rourke and husband Brian of Dracut, Ma., and their child Ryann.

ARRANGEMENTS: A private memorial and burial will be held at the Mausoleum at St Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Methuen in March. Memorial contributions in Jack's name can be made to St John Rescue PO Box 1225 St John VI 00831.
